LivingSoil
Living soil describes a ground that is itself alive: an accumulation of matter, traces and organisms in continuous transformation. What has passed does not simply disappear — decay becomes nourishment, residue becomes material, and the past becomes part of the conditions from which something new can emerge.
Living Soil takes this as a way of thinking about artistic practice. Nothing develops from neutral ground. Every work is shaped by what precedes and surrounds it — by material, social, personal and historical conditions, many of which remain invisible in the work itself.
The exhibition considers this relation between ground and emergence: what is inherited, what is transformed, what remains beneath the surface and what takes form.
